Today’s Hollywood liberals are so vicious that the few conservatives in their midst must operate in secret to preserve their careers.

“If an actor comes out for Ted Cruz, they’ll be demonized,” actress Morgan Brittany told The Hollywood Reporter Oct. 22. “I was an actor for 50 years. I’ve done my Hollywood thing. They can’t hurt me. But I feel sorry for people who can’t speak their mind.”

Oscar-winning producer Gerald Molen similarly reminded up-and-coming GOP supporters in Hollywood, “The left is very vindictive, so caution at this point might be best.”

Hollywood’s conservatives are so protective of themselves that The Hollywood Reporter’s Paul Bond was “thrown out of a fundraiser for Rick Santorum at a $35 million mansion on Sunset Boulevard after celebrity attendees feared they would be ‘outed’ as supporters.”

Shawn Steel, the Republican National Convention representative for California, told The Hollywood Reporter that several celebrities also attended a Sept. Ben Carson event in Anaheim, but he refused to name them because of “bias in Hollywood.”

It’s no surprise, since Hollywood is filled with Planned Parenthood supporters, Democratic donors, Obama fans, and gay rights activism. There are also those in Hollywood like Ben Affleck, who openly admit they don’t like conservatives -- solely based on their political affiliation.

Nevertheless, there are Hollywood figures who brave the scrutiny to support conservative candidates. Billionaire Jerry Perenchio, the former CEO of Univision, hosted a fundraiser for Carly Fiorina at his home before she officially announced her candidacy and has also given an additional $1.6 million to her PAC, according to CNN.

Hollywood Reporter also noted singer and actor Pat Boone’s fundraiser for Mike Huckabee, and an Oct. 22 fundraiser for Marco Rubio hosted by “former Entertainment Tonight host Mary Hart and her producer husband, Burt Sugarman. Former Saturday Night Live actor and comedian Joe Piscopo has also voiced support for several current GOP presidential candidates.

Organized Hollywood support for the GOP is not new. In 2008, Hollywood’s underground GOP supporters created a group called “Friends of Abe” in an effort to be more organized and draw attention to the intolerance that Republicans in Hollywood encounter. Seven years later, Friends of Abe is still active in Hollywood.
