Vivek Ramaswamy

YouTube fact-checks GOP presidential candidate: Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy posted a video on his YouTube account August 21 called, “Vivek Ramaswamy & Tucker Carlson: 9/11.” The video discussed why Ramaswamy made claims that the federal government lied about what happened on September 11, 2001. YouTube imposed a context label linking to an Encyclopedia Britannica page that read, in part, “September 11 attacks, also called 9/11 attacks, series of airline hijackings and suicide attacks committed in 2001 by 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda against targets in the United States, the deadliest terrorist attacks on American soil in U.S. history.” When the link is clicked to read the full article, it goes on to detail the 9/11 commission report's findings, but does not address any claims such as Ramaswamy made that the government lied about these findings.
