Twitter community adds a context note to Vivek Ramaswamy tweet: Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's official Twitter account tweeted, “A biological man fractures a woman’s skull. We used to call this violence against women. Now we call it a victory for trans rights. Listen to the 'woman’s' voice at the end. The trans cult is a mental health epidemic in our country and it needs to stop.” The tweet included the video described in the tweet. Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "•This video from March 2013 shows Fallon Fox beating Ericka Newsome, who did not suffer a skull fracture during her fight. sportskeeda.com/mma/news-repub… •Additionally, Fox claims her voice was altered: twitter.com/fallonfox/stat… •Fox did previously fracture Tammika Brent's skull in September 2014, but that was a different fight: sportskeeda.com/mma/fallon-fox…" The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system.
