Twitter censors user for saying that alternative treatments work against COVID-19: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. He tweeted "The cure for the common cold is hydroxychloriquine or ivermectin! My wife caught the pandemic took ivermectin and recovered in 4 days with no side effects. She said no more cold medication this works and all the previous jabs for flu only works sometimes." Attached was a screenshot showing part of an article that said, in part, “that chloroquine and its even [unknown] derivative hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) will not only treat a current case of coronavirus (‘therapeutic’) but prevent future cases (‘prophylactic’). So HCQ functions as both a cure and a vaccine. In other words, it’s a wonder drug for coronavirus. Said Dr. Fauci’s NIH in 2005, ‘concentrations of 10 μM completely abolished SARS-CoV infection.’ Fauci’s researchers add, ‘chloroquine can effectively reduce the establishment of infection and spread of SARS-CoV.’” The user noted that his account has been locked for three months awaiting the results of his appeal. Twitter most likely locked his account, and would unlock it if he would delete the tweet. He tweeted this around the time that Elon Musk announced his bid for Twitter, and though the deal was far from being completed, it appears that the user took that opportunity to delete the tweet (it is now clearly deleted) and began tweeting again from his then unlocked account.
