Facebook censored a user criticizing how COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccine death counts are counted: A user commented on the discrepancy between how COVID-19 deaths were counted in 2020 and how COVID-19 vaccine deaths have been counted in 2021. The user wrote: "They're so careful to say that a death within a short time period of the vax does not mean its (sic) vax-related... They certainly weren't that careful with their death certificates if a patient had a positive c0vid test within weeks (sometimes even months) of death!" Facebook removed her comment because it went against the platform's "Community Standards on spam." The platform explained that the standards are intended to "prevent things such as false advertising fraud and security breaches." Although the user formally disagreed with Facebook's decision it is unclear whether anything came of her appeal.
