YouTube Removes Scott Adams Video, Cites Violation Of New Election Fraud Policy: Scott Adams, best known as the creator of the popular comic Dilbert, is also a conservative leaning commentator active on Twitter and YouTube. His YouTube channel, with over 88,000 subscribers, is up to episode 1215 of his daily streaming show. YouTube recently alerted him that they found a problem with his episode 1213, which was titled: "Biden COVID Plan, Swalwell's Chinese Spy, Pelosi Still A Steaming Pile." Adams claims that this episode was no different than his other content, in which he spends approximately an hour discussing current political topics. YouTube told him that they found this particular episode to have violated its "spam, deceptive practices and scams policy." While YouTube noted that he "may not have realized this was a violation of our policies," they deleted the video even though they did not apply a strike to his channel over it. The bottom of the notice explained in further detail, "Content that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election is not allowed on YouTube." YouTube recently announced that it would be "removing any piece of content uploaded today (or anytime after) that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, in line with our approach towards historical U.S. Presidential elections." This seems to be one of the first high profile instances of this new and much beleaguered policy in action. Adams concluded that, given this video was no different than most of his other videos, "I assume they’ll come for the other videos soon."
