Twitter censors user for sharing a journal article about masks: A Twitter user was censored for sharing an article from the Medical Hypotheses journal titled "Facemasks in the COVID-19 era: A health hypothesis." The user's accompanying tweet in-part read: "MASKS ARE BAD FOR HEALTH Stanford Study Results: Facemasks are Ineffective to Block Transmission of COVID-19 and Actually Can Cause Health Deterioration and Premature Death." Twitter claimed that this tweet violated its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The user's account was restricted for an unknown amount of time and he was forced to delete the tweet.
