Twitter censors user for calling COVID-19 a bioweapon: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. With many believing that the announcement that Elon Musk had signed an agreement to purchase Twitter meant that Twitter's censorship would immediately cease, despite the fact that the deal was far from being closed and Musk in charge of such decisions, many users decided to test Twitter's censorship by tweeting statements that had previously been found to be censored. In this case, the user tweeted "1. COVID was a planned bioweapon." Twitter indeed found this statement to violate its rules against "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19," and forced the user to delete the tweet in order to unlock his account. The user reported that his account was then restricted for one week as a result.
