Twitter censors user for tweet about COVID-19 vaccines: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. He was quote tweeting a tweet that read: "Unvaccinated COVID-19 patients put a $61.3-million avoidable burden on the Alberta health-care system during the fourth COVID wave, says University of Alberta study. Their 'freedom' is not actually free. The rest of us pay in so many ways." The user's response read: "What a load of crap. The vaccinated have driven variants Vaccinated are hospitalized or die as much if not more. It's just bad classification ignoring the crucial first 14 days. You sir @gilmcgowan are spreading lies. That doesn't count for the many more costly vaccine injuries." Twitter claimed this violated its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The user's account was locked until he deleted the tweet. The screenshot also indicated the user's account was placed in a read-only restricted mode as well, but it was unclear for how long.
