Twitter restores user account after locking it for 11 hours for tweeting support for Kyle Rittenhouse: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A Twitter user replying to Donald Trump Jr. tweeted the following: "@DonaldJTrumpJr I want to live in a country where Kyle Rittenhouse is seen as a hero and Joseph Rosenbaum got what he deserved." According to a snapshot provided by the user, Twitter had originally locked the account for allegedly violating its "rules against glorifying violence." The user had appealed and his account was restored. The user later tweeted another snapshot of an email notifying him of the restored account and that Twitter committed an error: "Our support team has reviewed your account and it appears we made an error. We've determined there was no violation and have restored your account to full functionality."
