YouTube puts context label on Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. video: YouTube imposed a fact-checking label on a video of Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s video honoring the legacy of his late father. The video was titled "RFK Sr.: A Legacy Remembered." YouTube added a label that linked to the Wikipedia page for the "Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy." The label stated “On June 5, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy was shot by Sirhan Sirhan at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California, and pronounced dead the following day. Kennedy, a United States senator and a leading candidate in the 1968 Democratic Party presidential primaries, won the California and South Dakota primaries on June 4." In the video, Kennedy did not mention any facts or speculations around the assassination, but rather simply recalled memories of his father, including his political philosophy, the short-lived success of his presidential candidacy, and how the people honored him after he was killed. It is unclear why YouTube added to this video celebrating Robert F. Kennedy's legacy a link to Wikipedia, a biased and easily manipulated source, simply to correct Kennedy Jr.'s statement that his father won the two primaries on the same day as his assassination rather than the day before.
