Canadian digital outlet Rebel News banned from PayPal, no reason provided: PayPal has "permanently limited" the account of Canadian digital news outlet Rebel News, "with no further ability to send or receive funds" according to reporting at Reclaim the Net. According to the report, the account "has transacted over 8 million Canadian dollars in more than 150,000 transactions over the past six years." The ban notice, which had a large headline reading "You can no longer do business with PayPal," did not provide a specific reason for the ban. It simply stated that the site was "in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy regarding your use of the PayPal products." According to Reclaim the Net, found Ezra Levant claimed that "this isn't a mistake. It's a cancel culture attack on the largest independent news agency in Canada. It's censorship." In April, YouTube suspended the news agency's channel, after demonetizing it in March, which led the outlet to tweet after this latest incident that "Rebel News is facing a coordinated attack by Big Tech."
