Twitter censors user for quoting Dr. Paul Offit on the COVID-19 vaccines: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. He had quote-tweeted two other tweeted. The first included a video of Dr. Paul Offit, with text explaining: "Why did Dr. Offit vote NO on Omicron-specific boosters at the FDA advisory meeting... - part 1" The second included a link to an Atlantic article titled "Should Teen Boys Get Boosted?" and said "Paul Offit, Director of Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told me that getting boosted would not be worth the risk for the average healthy 17-year-old boy. Offit advised his own son, who is in his 20s, not to get a 3rd dose." The user's comment on these tweets said "'Do the benefits of this [COVID] vaccine outweighs the risks [for children]? I didn't see the benefits. I didn't see evidence of that. ... The fix was in.' Dr. Paul Offit - Dir., Vaccine Education Center, Children's Hospital -Member, FDA Advisory Committee." Twitter found this to violate its rules against "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The user's account was locked for an unknown amount of time. The tweet was labeled as "Misleading," and users are unable to like, reply to or share the tweet.
