Private American

Twitter targets graphic novel about border crisis: Bounding into Comics reported that, as of Oct. 13, the Twitter account for the graphic novel Private American was suspended with no explanation. The comic book “‘examines the dangers at the open U.S. southern border,’” and had exceeded its goals during its crowdfunding campaign before Twitter locked the book’s account. The suspension could have affected the crowdfunding, Bounding into Comics noted. The account remains suspended as of Dec. 28, despite an appeal. Bounding into Comics said Twitter alleged @PVTAmerican violated “the Twitter TOS, specifically the rules against managing multiple accounts for abusive purposes.” Campaign manager Chris Braly said “there was no abusive content on any of the company’s accounts, or his personal account,” all of which remained active.
