X community adds a context note to a user's post: An X (formerly Twitter) user posted an image seeming to show President Joe Biden in a military situatioin room wearing a camouflage uniform. The user added her comments to the post, saying "This pic is 100% real. It's Biden in the Situation Room moments ago. Look at the blank look on his face. Does he even have pants on?" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This is a known AI generated image. It came from the same batch of AI generated images of President Biden as this: t.co/UbLSObnxxf." The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
