Twitter censors user for tweeting phone number for a public school: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. He was commenting on an incident that had occurred at a public school in South Carolina in which one student violently assaulted another. In response to the incident, the user tweeted: "Occurred at Lady's Island Middle School in Beaufort, South Carolina. You can call the school to demand the student's expulsion ASAP here: (843) 322-3100 This should be prosecuted criminally as a hate crime." Twitter found this to violate one of its rules. While it was not clear in the user's screenshot which rule was violated, it is most likely the rule against doxxing someone. However, this user posted a publicly available phone number to a public school, which is not doxxing. The user was forced to delete the tweet in order to regain access to his account.
