Twitter removed a tweet of a user who defended the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse and his violence of alleged self-defense: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A user tweeted "#KyleRittenhouse #KyleRittenhouseTrial #KyleRittenhouseDidNothingWrong," according to screenshots posted by Reddit user u/revenge_for_greedo in the r/DeclineIntoCensorship subreddit. The screenshots show that Twitter removed the tweets claiming that they violated its "rules against glorifying violence." The platform purportedly explained that it prohibits "content that condones or celebrates acts of violence that could promote imitation of the act," and "glorifying the perpetrators of such violence."
