CNSNews captioned the post saying "[w]hen Joe Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline, he destroyed American energy independence." Facebook claimed that the post was "missing context" and cited an AFP fact-check article that conflated the term "energy independence" with "energy isolation." MRC Free Speech America's research found that other experts and even other fact-checkers openly disagreed with AFP's evaluation of energy independence.
