Twitter user censored for joking about a popcorn ban: In another case of a bad Twitter algorithm, a user's account was locked and he was asked to delete a tweet in which he made a joke about a popcorn ban. Reuters tweeted out a story about a popcorn ban in France, and the user responded, saying "Meanwhile here in America .... You better gimme my damn popcorn or I'll kick your ass." Twitter, according to a screenshot shared by the user, claimed this was "abuse and harassment," obviously thinking that the user was threatening another user, which was not the case at all. The user claimed that he was able to dispute the censorship, though he was unclear whether the appeal was successful.
