YouTube censors Daily Wire contributor Michael Knowles' channel for transgender related content: A Spokesperson for YouTube told the Media Research Center Free Speech America that it "removed content from the Michael Knowles channel and issued a strike for violating [its] hate speech policy, which prohibits content claiming that individuals or groups are physically or mentally inferior based on protected attributes. As a result of these actions, the channel is temporarily suspended from uploading content to YouTube for one week." The Daily Wire's co-CEO Jeremy Boreing confirmed that Knowles' YouTube channel was suspended. It was unclear exactly which video(s) led to the action, but the YouTube spokesperson provided an example of content that would violate its hate speech policy, including content that asserts that so-called "transgender" people have a mental illness.
