Instagram placed a sensitive content filter over a video posted by the Media Research Center: MRC posted a video showing someone brazenly shoplifting in a convenience store and the store owners "taking matters into their own hands," as MRC put it. Instagram placed a "Sensitive Content" warning over the video that reads "This video may contain graphic or violent content." In its explanation of the video, Instagram noted that "This post doesn’t go against our Community Standards, but may contain images that some people might find upsetting." Instagram has controls for sensitive content, however these controls do not allow users to remove interstitials over posts altogether, only how many of these types of posts they see. According to Facebook, Instagram's sister-company, users fail to click through similar interstitials 95% of the time.
