YouTube demonetizes Matt Walsh: The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh was demonetized on YouTube this week. RedState reported April 20 that Walsh was demonetized for refusing to use transgenders’ “preferred pronouns.” A YouTube spokesperson told MRC, “We suspended monetization on Matt Walsh’s channel due to repeated violations of our YouTube Partner Program policies, which include our Advertiser-Friendly Guidelines. These policies apply equally to all creators, regardless of political viewpoint, and channels that repeatedly violate these policies are demonetized.” YouTube did not say specifically why Walsh was demonetized but claimed he violated the platform’s policy on “hateful and derogatory content.”
