Marjorie Taylor Greene

Twitter suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ahead of a vote to oust her from Congress: Twitter has reportedly locked the personal account of Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, according to staffers, the Gateway Pundit reported. The move to suspend Greene comes at the same time Democrats are pushing a bill to expel her from Congress. "Today Democrats are introducing a resolution to EXPEL me from Congress," Green wrote on the messaging app Telegram. "And all of a sudden overnight, Twitter suspended me at 1 am for 12 hours for absolutely no reason, with no explanation. They're doing everything they can to silence me because I am a threat to the swamp!" Greene has been rendered unable to tweet, retweet or like new content, amounting to basically a 12-hour suspension from the platform, due to unspecified "repeated violations," a spokesperson for Greene told the Gateway Pundit. The effort to oust Greene comes from California Democrat Jimmy Gomez and is co-sponsored by 72 other House Democrats, including radical leftists Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

***UPDATE***

Twitter later indicated that one of its automated systems suspended Rep. Greene by mistake. “This action has been reversed, and access to the account has been reinstated,” the company said in a statement regarding Greene's suspension, according to the Associated Press.
