Twitter temporarily restricts Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington's account, cites "unusual activity": Liz Harrington is a paid spokeswoman for former president Donald Trump. She has been widely criticized on Twitter by the left, and purportedly reported to Twitter, for tweeting out copies of Trump's statements. Those who claim to have reported her account and encouraged others to do so typically cite the fact that Trump is banned from Twitter, and that should include any of his statements. They alternatively claim that Harrington's account tweeting his statements is a form of ban evasion, a violation of Twitter's Terms of Service. Twitter took action against Harrington's account on August 6, restricting her account. For a short period, users attempting to visit her Twitter profile were met with a statement that read: "Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You're seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account. Do you still want to view it?" Users then had to click on the "Yes, view profile" button in order to view Harrington's profile. It is not clear what led Twitter to take this action. At the time of the publication of this entry, the profile is no longer showing as restricted, though it is unclear how long the account restriction lasted.
