Twitter community adds a context note to Karoline Leavitt’s tweet: Karoline Leavitt, former Trump White House Assistant Press Secretary, tweeted, “Ron DeSantis says President Trump should have 'come out more forcefully' on J6 protestors. This is who he is. Cut from the same cloth as Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney. Playing right into the Marxist Democrat’s hands.” Leavitt also included a video clip of Governor DeSantis’s speech. Twitter added a warning label to the post. The header of the label says, “Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The warning continues, “The clip is deceptively edited: ‘there’s a difference between being brought up on criminal charges & doing things...to try to criminalize it is a different issue entirely….you have one side trying to constantly put the other side in jail.’” It also links to a video of DeSantis’s full answer.
