While the cartoon frog has associations with the Alt-Right, Lapine has a self-described "left wing/libertarian POV." This particular meme had text that read: "I literally just hate liberals. I don't have any other politics." Twitter's notice to Lapine over this meme stated that it violated the rules against "hateful imagery," and required her to delete the image from her header before she could regain access to her account.
