Twitter's horrible algorithm punishes someone for encouraging his friend to fight cancer: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his Twitter censorship notice, for which there is no excuse. Twitter's algorithm is demonstrably horrible, and this is just the latest example. The user was tweeting at his friend, who is battling cancer right now. His tweet to the friend read, "Keep fighting. We are rooting for you. I pray that you kick cancer right in the butt." The user was locked out of his account until he deleted this tweet, then was punished with an account restriction for 12 hours that prevented him from doing anything other than browsing Twitter and using DMs during that time. Twitter needs to train its algorithm better than this.
