Twitter censors user’s comment on the Bud Light controversy: In reply to Tim Pool’s tweet about Bud Light, a user commented, “@Timcast Don't be a dick, if you want tranny swill, drink tranny swill, the rest of us will not.” Twitter suspended the user’s account for seven days. According to a screenshot of the incident, Twitter said the user was “violating our rules against hateful conduct,” and explained, “You may not directly attack people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” The actual wording of the user’s tweet, however, did not contain any calls for violence against people but criticized the product itself, the Bud Light beer. The user's account was locked until he deleted the tweet. The user reported that his account was also restricted for one week, but this could not be confirmed.
