Twitter bans Jim Hoft, owner and operator of the conservative Gateway Pundit: The defiant conservative Jim Hoft is but the next major conservative to go down amidst the salvo of bans and suspensions from Twitter. Hoft ran the account for his incredibly popular digital news site The Gateway Pundit, but has now been kicked from the platform for what Twitter is deeming repeated violations of its civic integrity policy. Twitter created its civic integrity policy ahead of the 2020 election to guard against misinformation, but following the Jan. 6 riot inside the Capitol the platform beefed up its policy to stem possible incitements of violence which may have contributed to the incident. Now, several weeks later, it has become a handy tool for Twitter to use to justify the removal of user's who post content that challenges the left's mainstream narrative.
