Facebook censors Australian biologist and blogger for post about COVID-19: Jennifer Marohasy, an Australian biologist, columnist and blogger, noted in a blog post that she had been suspended from Facebook for 24-hours. According to a screenshot she shared about the incident, Facebook claimed the post violated its "Community Standards on misinformation that could cause physical harm." The offending post read: "Unvaccinated West Australians will be prohibited from entering bars, cafes and banned from buying alcohol from tomorrow. Proof of vaccination - on an app or int he form of a printout and photo identification - will be necessary to enter WA bars, restaurants, cafes and bottle shops, even if the customer is using the drive-through and remains in their vehicle. West Australians who are not vaccinated will be able to go to supermarkets and use the drive-through at fast-food outlets. How come everyone is so frightened of the unvaccinated. If being vaccinated keeps you safe? I wrote something about the madness gripping this country back in October, it is still relevant..." It was accompanied by a link to the post that she referenced. The Facebook post was deleted, and she was not allowed to post again for 24 hours.
