Facebook restricts user for sharing story on COVID: Facebook restricted a user’s account when he shared and commented on a news story that appears to have critiqued the COVID-19 vaccines and vaccines safety. His comments, in part, read "2 GODDAMN YEARS WE'VE BEEN TELLING YOU THIS! THEY LIED! WE TOLD YOU! WE WERE PUNISHED FOR TELLING THE TRUTH!!! DOCTORS WERE RUINED FOR SAYING THIS!" Screenshots sent in by the user indicate that Facebook flagged the post for alleged, “false information about COVID-19 that goes against our Community Standards.” The screenshot also noted that Facebook restricted the user's account making his posts appear lower in the newsfeed for at least 27 days. The platform cited the fact check as well as another incident previously entered into CensorTrack as a reason for the restriction.
