Freedom In America

Facebook censors small conservative page, taking a word out of context: Facebook restricted the small conservative page Freedom in America for 30 days, according to screenshots, after the administrator suggested that a Facebook and Google lawsuit might put a "chink" in the protection that Section 230 provides the platforms. Freedom in America posted a Breitbart News piece entitled "200+ Local Newspapers sue Google and Facebook" with the caption "Chink in the 230's?" Facebook removed the post for alleged "hate speech" and restricted the user from posting or commenting for 30 days according to screenshots. Facebook likely conflated the proper use of the word "chink," which the Freedom in America page administrator used, with the racial slur directed at people of Chinese descent. He said he disagreed with the decision but that Facebook did not review the censorship incident.
