At the time, Twitter told the Daily Beast that Robinson's account “ha[d] been temporarily locked for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy.” The Hill reported that her permanent suspension came nearly immediately after Twitter lifted a seven day account restriction she received for her comments on luciferase. "Social media users began noticing on Tuesday evening that Robinson's Twitter account had been shut down, just hours after she had been regranted access to the platform," wrote The Hill. It is unclear whether she created any new tweets that might have triggered the permanent suspension or whether it was only connected to previous violations.
