Twitter censors user for sharing photos of aborted, near-full-term babies: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of their censorship notice. The user posted photos of nearly full term aborted babies, then posted the images along with a screenshot of their censorship notice for posting them originally. According to the censorship notice, Twitter found the images to violate its "rules against posting media depicting gratuitous gore." The notice went on to say "You may not share excessively graphic media (e.g., severe injuries, torture). Exposure to gratuitous gore can be harmful, especially if the content is posted with intent to delight in cruelty or for sadistic pleasure." The user was required to delete the tweet and images in order to unlock their account. The user then shared the screenshot with the images again, and a sensitive content filter was placed over the preview of the attached images. The user noted that "this is what abortion is, and I am not posting it for 'delight' or 'pleasure.'" The user also noted "[t]he fact I was flagged for this shows that @Twitter @TwitterSupport agree that abortion is equal to 'severe injuries or torture.'"
