Twitter removed a Shakespeare scholar's tweet quoting Shakespeare: Dr. Peter Kirwan, a Shakespeare scholar and professor at the University of Nottingham, tweeted about how some students would perform Henry VI with The Royal Shakespeare Company actors and he quoted a provocative line of the play. "Really excited for @NottsRebels taking the stage with @TheRSC for today's Henry VI press performances," he tweeted according to a purported screenshot. "Break a leg everyone, and do kill all the lawyers." "Let's kill all the lawyers" is a line from Henry VI, the play his students performed. The screenshot shows Twitter claimed that Kirwan "violate[ed] [its] rules against abuse and harassment." The platform made him remove the tweet to regain access to his account
