Facebook demonetized Dinesh D'Souza after he posted a clip of his appearance on the Ingraham Angle discussing the Kyle Rittenhouse Trial: Podcaster and conservative intellectual Dinesh D'Souza posted a clip of his discussion of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial on The Angle with Laura Ingraham. Newsweek reported that Facebook notified D'Souza that he was "restricted from advertising" and that the platform refused to appeal the decision. D'Souza said he "could repost the Ingraham appearance, but that is not the point," according to Newsweek. "The point is I am demonetized, restricted in distribution, which goes on for about a year, and I'm in danger of losing my whole page if I have another 'offense,' which could be just as arbitrary," he added. Facebook's censorship of the D'Souza interview occurred just prior to Rittenhouse's acquittal. The platform has since publicly stated that it "will no longer remove content containing praise or support of Rittenhouse,” according to The Washington Post
