Derek Sloan

Twitter censors sitting Canadian MP for tweet about COVID: Derek Sloan, MP for Hastings-Lennox and Addington, Ontario, shared a screenshot of his Twitter censorship notice. He tweeted a link to an article from Reuters headlined: "British ministers decide against mass vaccination for teens - The Telegraph." Sloan's commentary on the article noted: "The combination of vaccine injuries and the extremely low risk that COVID poses to the young have convinced ministers in the UK to do the right thing. Where is this common sense in Canada? #cdnpoli #EndTheLockdowns." According to the censorship notice, Twitter claimed that this violated its "Policy on Spreading Misleading and Potentially Harmful Information related to COVID-19." Sloan was required to delete the tweet, and his account was restricted from tweeting for 12 hours as punishment for daring to question the leftist narrative on COVID. However, days after his 12 hour restriction presumably ended, his profile was still flagged with the following warning: "Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You're seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account." Users must then click the "Yes, view profile" button in order to continue. Shadowban.eu results for Sloan's profile show that he is currently enduring a search ban, search suggestion ban, and ghost ban.
