Twitter censors Sidney Powell's Legal Defense Fund web site, including direct link to copy of Georgia lawsuit: Twitter has censored Sidney Powell's web site, https://defendingtherepublic.org/, in multiple ways. An attempt to tweet out that link results in an error message saying that "Something went wrong, but don't fret - let's give it another shot." Additionally, direct links to a copy of the lawsuit that she filed in Georgia on November 25 is also being censored. Users reported that while attempting to share the link to the lawsuit, Twitter would not allow it to be sent. Screenshots show users receiving a message that said: "Tweet not sent. Your Tweet couldn't be sent because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful." For users who were able to tweet out the link before the restrictions were put in place, anyone attempting to click on the link to the lawsuit received a warning message that read: "Warning: this link may be unsafe. The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe, in accordance with Twitter's URL Policy. This link could fall into any of the below categories: malicious links that could steal personal information or harm electronic devices, spammy links that mislead people or disrupt their experience, violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm, or certain categories of content that, if posted directly on Twitter, are a violation of the Twitter rules. Users are then presented with a large button that says "Back to previous page," or a much smaller statement below the button that says: "Ignore this warning and continue," in which only the word "continue" is actually linked to go on through to the lawsuit filing. As some have noted on Twitter, the lawsuit will be available in PACER, where all legal filing are documented, although it is not free to do so. Twitter is preventing its users from easy access to a free look at the legal filing on Powell's web site with this censorship.
