Twitter removes Conservative attack ad against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau: A Twitter Canada spokesperson told Canadian outlet Global News that it removed @CPC_HQ's tweet that included a video advertisement critical of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The video ad was posted ahead of Trudeau's decision to call an early election for Sept. 20, according to Global News. The video ad was a satirical play on the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." It criticized Trudeau for wanting what he wants, when he wants it; much like a character from the American classic movie, who Trudeau is likened to in the ad. Conservatives were not happy with Trudeau's move, charging him with undermining efforts to stamp out the coronavirus, according to Reuters. "We shouldn't be risking that for political games or political gain," said the leader of Canada's Conservatives, Erin O'Toole.
