X community adds a context note to user's post: An X (formerly Twitter) user posted "BREAKING: Twitter has suspended the account of Alexey Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya. She just created the account yesterday, when she announced she would continue the work of her husband. If you were wondering who’s side @elonmusk is on.. Now you know." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Yulia Navalnaya’s account was briefly suspended by X’s anti-bot software. This was due to the account’s extremely rapid growth, which is typically seen when accounts attempt to manipulate the system. The account was quickly reinstated and the algorithm updated. x.com/Safety/status/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
