Twitter forced a user to delete a tweet and locked the user's account for 7 days for supporting Kyle Rittenhouse online: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After user tweeted, "12-hour ban is up. Twitter is a partisan tool for crafting and maintaining Democrat narratives. Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong," according to screenshots tweeted by the user. The screenshots also show that Twitter removed the tweet claiming that it violated its "rules against glorifying violence." The notice explains that Twitter prohibits "content that condones or celebrates acts of violence that could promote imitation of the act" and "glorifying the perpetrators of such violence." Twitter also locked the user's account for 7 days in addition to forcing him to delete the tweet. The user appealed Twitter's decision but it is unclear whether the platform has yet responded.
