China Uncensored

YouTube age restricts coverage of Chinese protest: China Uncensored tweeted Nov. 27, “As the world watched China erupt in protest today, YouTube once again censored our coverage. Our episode on the enormous protests at Foxconn was age-restricted, essentially killing the viewership. No reason was given. This is a travesty.” The tweet included a video clip of the worker protest in China (Foxconn makes Apple’s iPhone), with a mass of the Chinese Communist Party’s infamous “Big White” police force apparently trying to stop the workers. China Uncensored also linked to its YouTube video, “Workers Rebel at iPhone Factory in China,” which now has a filter saying, “Sign in to confirm your age. This video may be inappropriate for some users.”
