Facebook flagged the post as "missing context" and applied a fact check notice over the post. Facebook linked to a fact check article by Lead Stories. The article claimed it spoke with two experts in the field. "One believes the claim [that electric vehicles are bad for the environment] is accurate, while the other says that while parts of it are true, other parts were false and misleading," the article said. According to Facebook fact-checked posts are negatively affected in the algorithm.
