Twitter censors user for wishing that a certain candidate for U.S. House will beat another candidate: In a very confusing move, Twitter censored a user for tweeting: "@karringtonsc @Moms4Liberty Hopefully you will beat Nancy Mace and we will have one less Rino in the US House." According to the screenshot that he shared, Twitter claimed this tweet violated its "rules against abuse and harassment." Twitter's explanation of this rules states that "You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. This includes wishing or hoping that someone experiences physical harm." It seems most likely that Twitter's terrible AI algorithm flagged the tweet because it perceived the word "beat" to be used in a physical sense rather than an electoral one. This would not be surprising given the many examples of how truly awful the algorithm is. The user was forced to delete the tweet in order to unlock his account.
