Twitter bans account purportedly linked to Ayatollah, however, the Supreme Leader's main account still remains active: An account appearing to belong to the Ayatollah was removed from Twitter shortly after posting an image depicting former-President Trump in the line of sight of a drone about to blow him up. The main account of Iran's Supreme Leader remains on the platform, but connections between the banned account and the Ayatollah have been reported. Nevertheless, Twitter says the account was not removed due to the threatening picture, but rather because Twitter had identified it as a fake account.
