Instagram removes Austin Peterson's Biden meme: Libertarian radio host and former political candidate Austin Petersen tweeted a screenshot of an Instagram notice stating that it removed a Biden meme on his account. Instagram claimed Petersen's post "goes against our Community Guidelines. Our guidelines are based on our global community, and some audiences may be sensitive to different things." The meme quoted a portion of a 2020 interview on the ABC News “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” program where Biden stated, "We cannot let this, we've never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the panemic [sic] of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle, way they, we can both have a democracy and elections and at the same time correct the public health." It is unclear how the meme violated Instagram's Community Guidelines. Petersen later tweeted that this meme, along with other posts on his account, reportedly led to his Instagram account being suspended.
