Twitter community adds a context note to popular account's tweet:  A popular conservative Twitter account called @amuse tweeted, "SHOCK: San Francisco Democrats forced @elonmusk to remove the X from the building. Elon really ought to consider moving the company to Austin." Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "The 'X' sign was taken down due to complaints about its safety and luminance. The company did not have the necessary permits to raise the sig[n], and so it was ordered to be taken down. It has nothing to do with politics as the tweet suggests." The note included a link to an article to support the assertion. The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system. Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets.
