Alan Hostetter

Individual charged in connection with Jan. 6 events at U.S. Capitol banned from Facebook and Instagram: Facebook recently unveiled a policy prohibiting anyone charged in connection with the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol from using its social networking platform. Alan Hostetter was charged on June 10th for his involvement in the events, according to The Washington Post. Several days later he took to Facebook to record a "live" video discussing his thoughts on what he called the Jan. 6 "Fakesurrection." Shortly thereafter his accounts on both Facebook and Facebook-owned Instagram were vaporized, according to Hostetter and WaPo.

According to the Washington Post's reporting, Hostetter lives in the Santa Ana area of California, which is in the 46th Congressional district, represented by Democrat Luis Correa.
