MRC Founder and President Brent Bozell said that Commissioner Brendan Carr is the “right person to lead the Federal Communications Commission.”
Today, Bozell endorsed free speech champion Commissioner Carr to take the helm of the FCC and encouraged President Trump to appoint Carr as the entity’s Chairman. He “has proven he is more than capable,” Bozell said.
President Trump has ascended to the highest office in America yet again, and with that comes the all-important job of appointing individuals to positions across government.
Bozell detailed the pains through which America has struggled under the previous administration and implored that “[t]his unlawful abuse of power needs to end.” He suggested that this is precisely why Carr is the right man for the job. “It is imperative that the next FCC chairman is committed to restoring the public’s trust, increasing telecommunications access for all communities and protecting the fundamental right to free speech,” said Bozell. “Brendan Carr has proven he is more than capable of accomplishing that task.”
Bozell then went on to list three times Carr has been “relentless” in proving his meddle in the “fight for all Americans”:
- “When Biden’s FCC created a special Soros shortcut to fast-track the acquisition of radio giant Audacy, thereby imperiling millions of Americans’ access to conservative perspectives, Brendan Carr fought back.
- “When the FCC declared that it had the power to regulate political speech which utilized artificial intelligence, thereby injecting more chaos and more censorship into an already fraught election, Brendan Carr fought back.
- “And when Biden’s FCC decided to retaliate against Starlink because Elon Musk refused to censor Biden’s political opponents, Brendan Carr fought back.”
Carr once said what the media has attempted to reject: that “a small group of some of the world’s most powerful corporations exercise complete control over [the] public square.” Bozell encouraged that Carr can be “counted on to fix this.”
“Instead of using the FCC to target opponents, censor critics and fast-track even further consolidation of corporate power,” said Bozell, “he will work night and day to ensure that everyone in this incredible nation has a voice.”
In conclusion, Bozell made clear how President Trump can begin to dismantle the Biden-Harris administration’s weaponization of government. “[Trump] can start by placing Brendan Carr at the helm of the FCC,” said Bozell.
