The Digital News Tracker bias meters use a 0-10 scale to measure the political bias in news coverage, with 0 representing the furthest left and 10 the furthest right. This scale is applied to average the bias of the top 20 morning stories over seven days across Apple News, Google News, Microsoft’s MSN and Yahoo News. A score below five indicates a left-leaning bias, and a score higher than five indicates a right-leaning bias.
